Nigerian Dwarf Goats
In 2022 Gumnut Valley welcomed their first two Nigerian Dwarf goats to the farm. We absolutely adored their cheeky personalities, naughty behaviour and affectionate ways and decided to breed them. Since then we have added to the tribe and currently have between 15-20 of the sweetest and friendliest goats available.
Our girls make excellent Mummas and watching them birth and raise their kids is fascinating. Sadly we can’t keep them all (not for lack of trying) and as we have more births coming up in spring we have to let some of our beautiful babies go.
We are registered with the Australian All Breeds of Miniature Goats and Sheep Society and aim to have our herd assessed for CAE and Johne’s disease this year.
All goats born on farm are disbudded (vet) and boys banded, unless someone prefers a buckling. They are weaned from Mum at 4 weeks and bottle fed for another 4 weeks, to become super friendly pets. Our goats are regularly vaccinated and drenched to ensure optimum health.
We only sell to the best of homes for pet and breeding purposes and do not want our beautiful animals used for meat.
Currently we are in the process of updating our sales listings, but please contact us for more information or to arrange to meet our animals available for adoption.
