Drop Spindling Workshop

 
Gumnut Valley has teamed up with talented Australian Textile & Fibre Artist Rebecca Muscat from Three Muscats Fibre Farm to offer some fun workshops in a natural and relaxed setting.

In this two-hour workshop you will learn to spin with Rebecca using a drop spindle. You will get a take-home drop spindle kit including 100 grams of cleaned and carded fibre roving ready to spin, a timber student drop spindle, as well as an instruction flyer with QR code linking to a video, all in a fabric bag.

The cost of this workshop is $85pp and includes morning tea, as well as an opportunity to hand feed our beautiful alpacas their favourite grain mix at the end of the workshop.

Fragrant Felt Workshop
 

Roll, felt and shape natural alpaca and Merino sheep fleece into soft felted spheres. Craft your own fragrance diffuser, adding essential oil, and create a pair of felted earrings with high quality, stainless steel fittings. All materials and support are included in this 2-hour relaxing and creative workshop led by Australian Textile & Fibre Artist Rebecca Muscat of Three Muscats Fibre Farm.

The costs of this workshops is $85pp with afternoon tea provided. At the end of the workshop you get an opportunity to get up close and personal with our friendly, inquisitive alpacas by hand feeding them their favourite grain mix.  

Knit & Crochet with Alpacas
 

Join our wonderful volunteers Kerry and Jodie as they host a knit and crochet group in the paddock with our beautiful alpacas.

Bring your own project(s) and watch the alpacas graze peacefully around you. In this relaxing and inclusive craft session you will meet new people, learn more about alpacas and share craft ideas. 

Enjoy a lovely morning tea, browse our range of alpaca yarn in a range of natural colours from our much loved alpacas and hand feed them a yummy grain mix. The costs of this craft session is $25pp.
