Silkie Chickens

Besides Huacaya alpacas and Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Gumnut Valley is now also breeding Chinese silkie chickens.

With their size, placid temperament and quirky little mop tops, they are the perfect addition to our farm.

Currently we keep silkies at a ratio of 1 rooster to 6 hens in the following colours: white, buff, black, splash and grey.

Our silkies get regular preventative mite and worm treatment.
